Favorable labor market situation for companies recruiting physical, specialized and trained workers
In the current economic environment, labor market actors are characterized by caution.
In addition to the decreasing number of advertised jobs, however, activity can be measured on the employee side, but despite this, finding the right workforce is still a big challenge in many industries. In the case of physical jobs, for example, this was typically the situation, but now it has become significantly more favorable for companies – according to Profession.hu’s labor market analysis.
Responding to wage demands that have increased as a result of inflation, in January 2023 the majority of companies (62%) planned a wage increase in order to retain their employees, since despite the current situation, finding suitable candidates in many areas is still a big challenge. The increased salaries motivated employees who have been less active since the pandemic, which, together with reduced job opportunities, caused a 33.3% increase in the number of applications per job advertisement on Profession.hu in the third quarter of 2023.
