Future Store at FOODAPEST (part 1)
More than 900 trade visitors ‘liked’ Future Store at FOODAPEST between 5 and 8 February. Trade magazin and Trade Marketing Club’s joint project created a store with 350m² of floor space for 40 companies to present their innovations. Nearly 1,200 visitors register for the hourly guided tours. Please join us now a virtual guided tour around the Future Store! ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Future Store! If you take a photo of the QR code next to me with your smartphone, you can learn more about the Future Store project from Trade magazin’s website. When registering to this tour, you were informed about the EuroCIS trade fair in Düsseldorf and BD-Expo Kft., the official representative of the event will be happy to tell you more about this great IT gathering for the retail sector. Shoppers of the future will come to the Future Store in electric cars, bringing their Teeg-equipped RFID identification with them. Electric Citroen Zero cars can cover 130 km with a single charge; electric vehicles can be charged at home or by using ELMŰ’ s charging poles. iData Kft.’s iTrack GPS system takes care of the tracking of private and company cars and of preventing fuel stealth. Before shoppers enter the store, they take one of the ergonomic-design shopping trolleys from the Wanzl Sigma shopping trolley shelter, which protects from stealth, the weather and dirt. Tango shopping trolleys are available in 3 sizes, they are stable and hygienic, easy to manoeuvre and their handles are equipped with a magnifying glass. We, ladies and gentlemen, enter the store through a Record automatic sliding door – a product of the Swiss concern’s Hungarian affiliate. It is really spectacular and gives an elegant look to any store. Right at the entrance a digital totem pole welcomes everyone and shoppers activate the RFID system by touching the pole with the TEEG (an interactive digital wallet) sticker. The totem pole recognises shoppers from their TEEG stickers and displays current offers. In-store POS tools were provided by Win-Store Media Consulting Kft. Passing through the Wanzl eGate – it is controlled by microprocessor and software and can be connected to LAN networks – we reach Wanzl’s vegetable stands, full of Prémium Garden Kft.’s fruits and vegetables, which can easily be bought with the help of Bizerba’s self-service, article recognition scales. Opposite we find Szintézis Joya’s rack with handheld scanners: you can take one and scan the barcode of products themselves. By using the unique Shopevolution technology, the system is capable of recognising shoppers, monitoring and updating previous shopping occasions, recommending promotions and facilitating a faster checkout. Win-store’s Recipe Kiosk can be of great help if we come with no particular ideas. Right next to it we come across the wines of Koch Winery and Vin Art Winery on Wanzl circular racks, alongside premium Soós pastas. Wine bottles are protected by Shopguard Drinkspector. On the bottles there is a special label with an invisible thermometer called Elő Wine Thermometer, which only appears when the wine’s temperature is perfect for consumption – as it is illustrated by the bottles in Vino Domus Wine House Kft.’s Enomatic® Wine Dispenser. The Elite product line of Italian wine serving system Enomatic features a smart card-operated, 8-position device in elegant black colour with a touchscreen; this device is the only one on the market that preserves the organoleptic quality of wines for 3-4 weeks. Across the wine section there is a spectacular presence from apple cider Heineken Strongbow Gold. This product has appeared on the market only recently and with its 5% alcohol content and fresh, fruity flavour has already won the hearts of many. This is also the place where you can touch the physical ‘like’ box with the TEEG sticker. This ‘like’ appears on the product’s Facebook page and also on the shopper’s – but only if shoppers agree to this. If you step closer to the shelves, you can see the special E-shelf labels from Szintézis. They are available in 3 sizes and can display price, quantity, product image or store logo. STI Petőfi Printing House brought a vertical POS tool: the Strongbow shelf stopper uses the unique El Sign technology to motivate shoppers for buying the product. Coca-Cola came with a wide range of products and a display cooler with gravity-fed dispenser shelves. On the shelves the interactive mini displays from HL-Display and I-Solutions convey different brand messages
