Shell Café: Sustainable refreshment on the go
In August 2021 Shell introduced its Shell Café barista coffee specialty brand to 14 European markets, including Hungary. Since the launch more than 1.5 million cups have been sold at the 131 Hungarian Shell retail sites. The brand is preparing for the summer with the iced coffee version of Shell Café, and Shell retail sites will also be waiting for customers with various barbecue accessories.
Shell has teamed up with the best experts to create the soft tasting, medium roast Taste of Africa variety (90% Arabica and 10% Robusta), and the dark roast and intense Taste of South America (80% Arabica and 20% Robusta). Most customers choose a cup of espresso, but cappuccino and lungo are also popular.
Shell Café is Rainforest certified, guaranteeing that the coffee beans are sourced sustainably, while the FSC certification proves that Shell Café products are sold in sustainable packaging. Shell Café drinkers don’t just enjoy instant refreshment and special flavours, as until early June they get a coupon for every purchase for instant prizes – coffee or bakery items. If there is a promotional code in the coupon, they can upload it to the Shell website for participating in the weekly and monthly prize draws. The main prizes are an iSTYLE gift pack and a trip to Costa Rica. (x)
