It’s time for big energy efficiency investments
Rising utility prices and inflation strongly influence spending at the end of this year, and this is also the case with the upcoming Black Friday, during which Hungarians are primarily planning to invest in long-term, energy-efficient technical machines, according to recent representative research by MediaMarkt. Some people especially love and prepare for the days full of discount offers, however, nearly 30 percent of the population is frustrated by the day-long bargain hunt.
The research revealed that during the upcoming promotions, customers are primarily looking for technical products that they can consider as investments: 20% of those surveyed are planning to replace outdated, old appliances, or would buy energy-saving household appliances and devices in the first place.
As a previous research of the technical department store chain confirmed, the energy rating has become an important consideration for purchases. The energy label is also of great importance in the case of the upcoming Black Friday, according to a fifth of those surveyed, who plan to purchase large household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, freezers, dishwashers) with a higher energy rating. The over 40 age group thinks about this mainly.
