The guild’s general meeting
On 26 May the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) held its annual general meeting. Members unanimously gave approval to László Kovács’ presidential and financial report, and they also gave a green light to the 2021 budget and action plan. During the discussions Onix’s owner Katalin Pintér expressed her opinion that the problem of the workforce shortage can be solved by developing four areas: logistics, convenience products, atypical employment and automation.
Mr Kovács introduced the main tasks of 2021, e.g. wording recommendations for mitigating the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic, simplifying the VAT rules and cutting the tax on representation expenses, cooperating with the Hungarian Tourism Agency in working out a development strategy for the hospitality sector, participating in the tourism-hospitality Sectoral Skills Council (ÁKT) of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. //
