Children's Health Program in Szerencs
The GYERE Children's Health Program led by the Hungarian Dietetic Association to be launched in Szerencs as well. The aim is to promote children's health-conscious way of life and the prevention of childhood obesity. In the three-year program, the city's total population of 0-18 years, a total of 2,259 children will participate.
The GYERE Children's Health Program was launched in Hungary for the first time in Dunaharaszti in 2014. In the three-year, childhood obesity prevention initiative implemented by the Hungarian Dietetic Association, more than 3,300 children are taking part in Dunaharaszti. According to the local measurements, the 10-12 age group is at risk most in terms of being overweight.
