Hungarian suppliers provide two thirds of PENNY’s 2,500 SKUs
This year’s winner of the Retail Award of Excellence for Hungarian Products is PENNY.
The discounter pays special attention to offering products with the Hungarian Product trademark, and to finding new Hungarian suppliers. PENNY Market Kft. operates 228 stores and 3 logistics centres in Hungary, employing almost 5,000 people. At the end of 2020 PENNY commenced a major rebranding process, as part of which the stores were modernised, the product selection was upgraded, and more Hungarian products appeared on store shelves.
Head of corporate communications Eszter Kazatsay: “We are especially proud of winning this award, because it was the manufacturers of Hungarian Product trademark bearing products who cast their votes.” //
