GKI only improved the outlook for consumers and business providers in July
Following the shock-like deterioration in the outlook for Hungarian economic participants in April, a significant positive correction took place in May and June. GKI’s economic index rose only slightly in July, by 2 points to minus 18.2 points – due to the improving expectations of consumers and business service companies and the stagnant expectations of other sectors – GKI Economic Research told MTI.
According to a survey conducted by GKI with the support of the European Union, the consumer confidence index increased by 6 points to minus 26.9 points in July, while business increased by only 1 point to minus 15.2 points, compared to June. (GKI)
