Rewe Group Introduces Avocado Coating To Extend Shelf Life
Rewe Group has announced it is testing a new fructose-based coating on its avocados, which it says can increase the shelf life of said products by eight days.
The group is already testing the avocados in 360 Penny stores.
Rewe said that it is making the move as part of its sustainability strategy to halve the amount of food waste in its supply chain by 2030.
