Booming organics
The organics market is thriving in France. Traditional retailers are expanding their market shares at the expense of specialists by listing ever more organic products. Increasingly, they are also founding their own organic market subsidiaries.
Traditional retailers in France are advancing into the lucrative organic business. National giants such as Carrefour, Leclerc and Auchan are becoming more and more dominant in the domestic organic segment, which is said to be worth 8 billion euros.
