FM: the protected geographical indications represent market value
The number of protected geographical indications – designations of origin and geographical indication should be increased in Hungary, because they represent market value.
Czerván György Minister of State for the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said on Tuesday in Budapest, at “The Protection of Origin Serves the Producers” professional conference that the ministry launched its origin protection programme in the spring of 2015, to increase the number of the protected geographical indication in Hungary and expand their potential utilization.
