Fidelity: Recycling single-use plastics – crisis and opportunity
Almost 85% of single-use plastic devices are made of one of five polymer types. Of the five polymers, also known as the “Big Five,” it is projected that they will continue to produce more and more in the future. According to Fidelity, therefore, the most important global environmental measures and investment opportunities will also depend to a large extent on the success of plastic recycling and the spread of plastic substitute alternatives.
