That’s how much a dinner in the country’s double Michelin-starred restaurant costs
There are currently two restaurants in Hungary that can boast one of the world’s highest gastronomic honors, two Michelin stars: Tata’s Platán Gourmet and Budapesti Stand. Both restaurants are prominent players in the Hungarian fine dining scene and represent Hungarian gastronomy with a unique approach.
Platán Gourmet, which occupies the first place in the Dining Guide’s TOP10 list, follows a special gastronomic philosophy. The restaurant obtains its seasonal ingredients from its own garden and pays particular attention to fresh, natural ingredients that create an authentic and at the same time exclusive experience. However, this exclusivity comes at a price: according to a recent TikTok video, the price of a dinner for two was HUF 230,920. The uniqueness of the experience ranges from the spectacular presentation to the special flavors, so guests can have a truly memorable evening.
The history and success of Platán Gourmet cannot be measured only in awards. Chef István Pesti designed the restaurant in a picturesque setting on the shores of Lake Tatai, hidden in the shade of an old sycamore tree. The chef has been proving for years that not only the capital can be the home of a fine dining restaurant: Platán Gourmet, 50 kilometers from Budapest, attracts gastronomy lovers who appreciate the restaurant’s refined, close-to-nature approach.
