How much vegetables and fruits Hungarians consume?
While we know how important it is to consume fruits and vegetables, we still consume far less of them than we should. Hungarians are particularly underperforming in this respect, at least as the statistics of recent years show.
Consumption has increased since the early 2000s, yet we are consuming only about half of what would be the prescribed daily average. Families with small children also barely reach the daily consumption of 300 grams of fresh fruits and vegetables.
