Plastic shopping bags will be removed from the grocery stores in L.A.
No more plastic bags will be given to the costumers in the grocery stores in Los Angeles. The City Council voted beside the ban on Tuesday.
The regulation will enter into force on 1 January 2014. Customers can choose; they carry a bag with themselves or pay 10 cents for a paper bag.
It will cost two million dollars to get rid of the plastic shopping bags in the city. According to the health authorities more than 228 thousand plastic bags are used in every hour in Los Angeles. (MTI)
