Insect protein is becoming increasingly popular in animal feed
In the feeding of farm animals, there is an increasing need to replace soybean meal and fishmeal with other proteins – origo wrote. With regard to substitution, regulations on bovine spongiform encephalitis prohibit or significantly restrict the use of feed of animal origin in the feeding of farmed animals. Therefore, there is a growing interest in using insect flour to replace soybean meal and fishmeal in whole or in part.
