Environmental awareness in households is slowly catching up
Essity is one of the world’s leading hygiene and healthcare companies. Essity’s operating principles are driven by sustainability. Leading brands such as TENA and Tork, as well as other strong brands such as Libero, Libresse and Zewa, are also part of the company.
The research shows that sustainability and environmental protection have become a top priority for many people and that society has become more aware of hygiene products and their composition and recycling potential.
The survey also shows that shoppers are increasingly focusing on environmentally friendly products:
- In the case of household stationary goods, nearly 64% of the population requires the product to be made of recycled material.
- More than half of respondents consider it important that the product contain biodegradable materials and that its packaging can be recycled.
- It is important for almost every second person that the article does not contain an allergen.
