A lot has happened in the life of the Chain Bridge Club. The early years of lobbying – when the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry for National Economy were interested in our views and opinions on important trade issues – are behind us now, but we have been able to launch many valuable projects, e.g. supporting healthy and quality nutrition for children in the Heim Pál Hospital, helping flood victims with several big product donations, publishing the Chain Bridge Knowledge Register Books.
In the meantime the Chain Bridge Foundation was established to help disadvantaged but very talented secondary school students with outstanding academic achievements to obtain BA and MA degrees in higher education, with the club’s members providing financial support and mentoring.
It is a great honour and an even greater responsibility to take over the presidency from the first and only president of the Chain Bridge Association, László Hovánszky. He and all the members of the previous presidency – László Murányi, Endre Fazekas, Dr Imre Tímár, Zoltán Tóth, Dr András Köves, István Matus, Kornél Saltzer and Dr Gábor Csirszka, who passed away last year, are true icons of the FMCG market: thank you for your leadership of the association! I am confident that the members of the presidency, elected on 1 September 2024, will also have a successful and fruitful tenure. //
