Bread prices may increase in 2017
Consumers should calculate with the 30 percent increase in bread prices from January because the baking industry has to increase wages in order to retain the workforce – Magyar Hírlap wrote.
Septe József, President of the Hungarian Bakers’ Association stated that all bakeries will decide whether to raise the prices and to what extent. According to the article, a skilled baker currently earns a monthly average of 160 thousand HUF, while three thousand people have already been missing from the profession because many of them moved abroad.
