An abundance of prizes in the display design contest for students
POPAI Hungary organised its POPAI Student Design Awards competition for the third time. The event’s main sponsor was SPAR and its theme sponsor was PICK. University students studying design were eligible for entering the competition, with 3 display designs: a PICK on-shelf display, a PICK carton display and a PICK SDC refrigerator display.
Krisztián Király, business development manager of Pick Szeged Zrt. and Károly Németh, head of marketing communication at SPAR shared their thoughts about the contest at the online conference of Trade Marketing Club, where the winners briefly introduced their works.
Results: Boglárka Anna Kovács and Boglárka Izabella Balassa finished third (they won HUF 10,000 PICK gift packs), the runner up was Míra Majoros (she received a HUF 50,000 SPAR gift card) and the winners were Dóra Molnár, Dorka Enikő Bősze and Tamás Márk Takács (they each walked away with a HUF 100,000 voucher).
The sustainability, creative and PICK special awards (and a HUF 50,000 SPAR gift card) went to Botond Várkonyi, Viktória Frecska and Gergely Mihály, respectively. The 1st-placed competitors and the special award winners will represent Hungary at this year’s Shop! Global Awards POP competition in the Student Design category. //
