Prestigious competition for public sector catering cooks
It was announced in March that the biggest-ever competition for public sector catering cooks (KÖSZ) is being organised in Hungary, by the National Association of Public Sector Catering Service Providers (KÖZSZÖV), the Hungarian Gastronomic National Association (MNGSZ) and the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH). The competition’s theme is summer dishes in the spirit of traditions and renewal.
Anna Zoltai, one of the founders and organisers of the programme told: NÉBIH will publish the recipes of winning meals (for 10 portions) in a publication in 3,000 copies. Competitors will have to cook classic summer 3-course meals in a modern culinary style, which can be prepared in public sector catering conditions from a budget of net HUF 550. Participation is free; the application deadline is 23 May. //
