The Pest County Government Office also examined products promising miracles
Last year, the consumer protection department of the Pest County Government Office carried out more than 1,200 official inspections and imposed a HUF 28 million consumer protection fine, the head of the government office told MTI on Friday.
Richárd Tarnai wrote in a statement issued by the government office that in 37 of the 1,248 official inspections, an on-site inspection combined with sampling was carried out, in which the authority checked online stores selling products promising miracles, price information of commercial units, the correctness of opening hours, the customer’s book, warranty and guarantee information, and also checked the provision of alcohol to minors.
He added that the employees of the consumer protection also inspected mouth masks, outdoor gyms, via ferratas, playgrounds and aqua parks.
