Company expectations: many employers plan to expand their workforce next year – Profession.hu
Domestic companies are preparing to recruit, and in many places they will also increase the necessary budget and the number of recruiting staff according to their current plans. Professionals primarily rely on job portals to find suitable candidates, while many would rather avoid social media. A third of them are afraid of the recruitment process taking too long, which, however, could be offset by the use of artificial intelligence, according to an analysis by Profession.hu.
In a comprehensive survey, Profession.hu explored companies’ human resource management plans for next year, which revealed that domestic employers’ expectations regarding the economic situation and employment are characterized by cautious optimism. The hundreds of managers surveyed said that they are more positive about next year, but are still planning carefully in terms of recruitment and wages.
Headcount expansion plans in 2025
Although this year, compared to the previous year, there has been a slight decrease in the number of job advertisements, most companies are planning to expand their workforce: 45% said they will increase the number of employees, while only 11% forecast a decrease.
The calculations of corporate decision-makers also show an increase in the budget allocated to recruitment (21%), or at least maintaining this year’s level (63%). In addition, many companies are also increasing the volume of their recruitment teams and hiring more people for this purpose.
“Almost a third of respondents experienced that more resources were needed for recruitment and finding new employees during the year, and the same number stated that they had to rethink their selection process and make it shorter or more flexible. “However, by 2025, every third company expects the hiring process to become longer, while only 15% see a chance of it becoming shorter,” said Blanka Dencső, a market research and business development expert at Profession.hu.
