MDOSZ focuses on popular summer treats
Ice cream, ice cream and other icy delicacies are among the most popular summer refreshments, which are not only tasty, but also pleasantly cool on hot days. In its July newsletter, the MDOSZ Nutrition Academy presents these popular summer treats in detail and provides consumers with useful advice.
Ice cream and ice cream: What’s the difference?
Although ice cream and ice cream are often used interchangeably, there are actually significant differences between them.
Ice cream: Made with confectionary techniques, directly at the place of consumption. It can be made by pasteurization or cold process, with various ingredients such as ice cream powder, paste, milk or water.
Ice cream: A factory-produced product that is heat treated and often homogenized. It goes to stores in a frozen state, where it is sold packaged.
Artisan Ice Creams: Quality Guarantee
Artisanal ice creams stand out from other ice creams due to their natural ingredients and traditional preparation method. These products do not contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The goal of the Ice Cream of the Year competition, organized annually by the Hungarian Confectionery Industry Association, is to promote these quality ice creams and encourage confectioners to make high-quality products.
