Frost damages hit the peach harvest
Frost damages hit the peach plantations this year, and as a result of the loss of fruit, the domestic fruits were sold on the wholesale market 70 percent more expensive than last year. In Europe, production has fallen, but to a lesser extent – Világgazdaság Online wrote.
In Hungary, peaches were cultivated on a total of 3700 hectares in 2017 – the Agricultural Research Institute (AKI) quoted the preliminary data of the latest fruit plantation census of the Central Statistical Office. (vg.hu)
