PENNY has invested nearly HUF 4bn in increasing salaries in 2024. Together with the 17% pay rise implemented last year, this means a total pay increase of 27%. From the middle of the year PENNY will provide more than 5,000 employees with a 10% employee discount card. In 2023 PENNY was once again awarded the “For Hungarian Products Retail Award of Excellence”. Plus PENNY’s Sissy and Food for Future private label products won in six categories in the competition for high-quality free-from and functional products.
“At PENNY we are proud of the fact that a large part of the assortment is made up of multiple award-winning private label and Hungarian Product trademarked products”,
told head of corporate communications Eszter Kazatsay.
2023 was a busy year for PENNY Magyarország in terms of expansion, and the discounter has also completed the renovation of its existing stores, with a focus on sustainability and the convenience of customers. PENNY has reduced its overall energy consumption by almost 10% over the past two years. (x)
