The food industry is the third largest industry in Hungary
The food industry is the third largest industrial sector in Hungary with a production value of about 2,600 billion forints, and is on the 16th place among the EU Member States and producing one percent of the EU’s production – Győrffy Balázs, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) said in Szente, Nógrád county.
At a press conference held at the Food Directorate of the National Chamber of Agriculture, the president also said: In Hungary, the consumer basket has a 24 percent share of food, compared to the EU average of 13 percent. (hirado.hu)
