Atypical forms of employment
On 1 March work started in the consortium of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI), the National Association of Tourism and Hospitality Employers (VIMOSZ) and Edutus University on realising the objectives of the Economic Development and Innovation Operative Programme (GINOP). The new project has been granted HUF 48.5-million funding and in the following you can read what Károly Zerényi, a member of MVI’s body of representatives have to say about it.

The theme of the project is complex employment programmes for a healthy work-life balance in the hospitality sector, and the introduction of related atypical forms of employment by means of a pilot project. Basically the goal is to have more people work in atypical forms in the sectors. MVI’s programme pays special attention to job seekers older than 45 years, students, women staying at home with small children, the unemployed and in general those people who are unable to enter the labour market in the form of classic employment.
On the employer side the target group is accommodation and catering service providers, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. The deadline for completing the project is 30 June 2022, but it is likely that due to the late start this will be extended to 31 August. At the end of the project MVI will make recommendations, provide counselling to the businesses involved and training to employees, and the guild will also draft recommendations for decision-makers and legislators. //
