Retailer of the Year in 2018
On 27 September the Retailer of the Year awards were presented to 14 entries in 4+1 categories at the Business Days Conference. This year two Retailer of the Year winners were announced, Libri-Bookline and SPAR.
Retailer of the Year
– SPAR Hungary and Libri-Bookline
Category winners can use the Retailer of the ‘Year 2018’ logo and name for a year. Endre Eölyüs, Mastercard’s country manager for Hungary and Slovenia told: Mastercard’s view is that Hungarian retailers are working hard to turn shopping into an experience with progressive technological solutions.
There were more than 30 competition entries and the following jury selected the best ones from these: Dr Gedeon Totth (head of institute and college professor at the Budapest Business School (BGE)), Tünde Turcsán (client service director of GfK Hungária Market Research Institute), Katalin Neubauer (general secretary of the Hungarian National Trade Association), Réka Szöllősi (managing director of the Federation of Hungarian Food Industries), Sándor Nagy (president of Ecommerce Hungary) and Zsuzsanna Hermann (managing director and editor-in-chief of Trade magazin).

‘Retailer of the Year’ category: SPAR Magyarország and Libri – Bookline Zrt., 3. Budapest Park (Kultúrpark Kft.)
‘Best multichannel development’ category: Libri – Bookline Zrt., Lidl Magyarország Bt. , Hoppline Kft. (Alinda.hu)
‘Best CSR programme’ category: dm-Drogerie Markt Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft, Luduspark Kft (Campona Játszóház), Book 24 Zrt.
‘Best customer experience’ category: Libri – Bookline Zrt., Diston – Line Kft. (falatozz.hu), MOL Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Nyrt.,
‘Best promotion by a retailer’ category: MOL Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Nyrt., Ma Este Színház Kft., Kultúrpark Kft. (Budapest Park).
