The 2024 Sustainable Future Awards have been presented
A large number of outstanding applications were received for the 2024 Sustainable Future Award. This award, established to recognize exceptional corporate and leadership performance aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting systemic change, was given in various corporate categories to Tesco, K&H Bank, SolServices, Saint-Gobain, and Continental Automotive based on the decision of a professional jury. Károly Nyári (Grundfos) was awarded the Change Leader Award, while Anikó Körmendi (Arriva Hungary) and Zsuzsa Nagy (E.ON Group) received the Leading Woman Award. The awards were presented at the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary’s (BCSDH) business lunch on October 10.
Irén Márta, BCSDH Director and member of the professional jury, expressed: “The Sustainable Future Award, announced for the eighth time in 2024, attracted an outstanding number of high-quality applications. The business world and our surrounding environment are rapidly changing, continuously presenting challenges to companies. This should drive us even more towards swift action and the transformation of our systems towards sustainability. The Sustainable Future Award evolves with the changes in the business environment, responding to current challenges. This year, we focused on areas where corporate transformation can have the most significant impact. As we reviewed the applications, it was heartening to see an increasing number of solutions that bring about genuine change and companies that embed sustainability into their operations.”
