Price stop: potatoes are not currently available, but consumer protection checks are
On May 19, representatives of the Government provided information that consumer protection had conducted another price-fixing raid. According to their announcement, consumer protection is deploying all its resources to take action against traders who play tricks with the price cap rules.
OKSZ member companies, as traders striving to comply with the law, themselves consider it important that the inspection authorities take action against tricksters.
At the same time, there are two prominent cases where retailers are sanctioned by consumer protection despite the fact that the legislation is not or cannot be complied with for reasons beyond their control.
