AM: Making food systems sustainable is a central theme of the Pre-Summit
Minister of Agriculture István Nagy represented Hungary at the Pre-Summit of UN Food Systems in Rome. The first stop in a series of events initiated by UN Secretary-General António Guterres is set to take place at ministerial level, followed by a summit in September, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Monday.
According to the statement, the Minister of Agriculture said in his speech that the role of local and seasonal foods, short supply chains and reliable information will be enhanced in order to achieve sustainable food systems. He added that one of the important objectives of the Ministry of Agriculture is to support and promote all this. (MTI)
