Consumers happy to own fakes
The feak LV bags make USD 1 million damage for the french luxury maker Luis Vuitton.
For the fight against forgers LV company organised an anti
feak commando, a department with 40 people. All around in the LV offices there
are 200 inspectors, layers, agents to stop selling feak LV products.
Around one in eight British shoppers and consumers has
bought a counterfeit watch, handbag or other product in the last year as it
becomes more socially acceptable, a study by lawyers Davenport Lyons and
Ledbury Research has found.
The study found Burberry, famous for its camel, red and
black check fabrics, has slipped to number three in counterfeit sales behind
leather goods maker Luis Vuitton and Gucci.
