Retail sales in Germany declined more than expected in December
Retail sales in Germany fell much more than expected in December as a result of the austerity measures, due to pandemic.
The German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said on Monday that, calculated on a calendar and seasonal basis, retail sales decreased by 9.6 percent in real terms and price effect adjusted, ie in nominal terms decreased by 9.3 percent in December from the previous month. (MTI)
