There are the most student workers in the field of tourism and hospitality
The interest in the summer student work program is huge, the number of participants exceeded 28 thousand 200 compared to the planned 26-27 thousand – emphasized Sándor Czomba, the Secretary of State responsible for employment policy of the Ministry of Economic Development (GFM) on the current channel M1 on Wednesday.
This year, the government provides HUF 3.5 billion in support for the summer student work program. Sándor Czomba said that the possibility of the summer student work program was expanded at the expense of the reserve funds left by the counties.
The state secretary explained that, as in previous years, 80 percent of the participants in the student work program this year are employed by local governments, and agricultural enterprises also accepted students, and around 5,000 were employed in the fields of tourism and hospitality.
Sándor Czomba called it important that full-time students between the ages of 16 and 25 gain work experience, and the student work program offers a suitable opportunity for this for two months.
