The biggest digital development in the tourism sector
Launched in 2019 by the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ), the National Tourism Data Supply Centre (NTAK) is a digital platform that allows real-time visibility of anonymous, turnover-based statistical data about all accommodation establishments in the country, together with such data on hospitality businesses and tourist attractions.
This article is available for reading in Trade magazin 2023/8-9.
By using NTAK data, the market environment can be analysed, understanding the different processes and identifying various tourism trends, thanks to which the sector can react more quickly to changes. From 1 January 2024, tourism businesses with a net turnover of between HUF 12m and HUF 100m will also be included in the data submission. MTÜ helps businesses with a net turnover between HUF 12m and HUF 50m with free software to fulfil their data submitting obligation. (x)
