Consumption increased sigificantly

According to today’s statistics from the KSH, family spending jumped sharply in the first quarter of 2020, to 7%, due to cumulation. But the March pandemic limits have already pulled spending back in some areas. The biggest loser was hospitality.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, shoppers switched at lightning speed, as shown by statistics on household consumption expenditure (which includes other spending areas in addition to shop purchases). Due to the forced restrictions introduced in mid-and late March, families cumulated food products, cleaning and disinfecting agents. Elsewhere, on the other hand, spending has been restrained, so it can be said that calculation, chance-taking, and caution have left their mark on spending from the very first moments.
