The world closed and then opened up again
Programmes organised online because of the pandemic are also accessible to those who wouldn’t have been able to take part in them otherwise. Many Shop! POPAI exhibitions, conferences, webinars and podcasts are now available for free online. POPAI Hungary Association has been the Hungarian representative of the Shop! Enhancing Retail Environments and Experiences Association since 2003. //
Knowledge and information without borders
The award ceremony of the ‘Oscars’ of the marketing at retail trade, Shop! Global Awards was organised online due to the pandemic. From 15 countries – Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, South Africa, USA, UK, Ireland, Japan, Canada, China, Hungary, Mexico, Russia – more than 600 users joined the online programme live.

Hungarian POP world champion
At the Shop! Global Awards winners were announced in 18 categories, and 3rd-year product designer student of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Boldizsár Rajkai won in the Student Design Awards category with his Zewa Wind Wheel concept.

The best in the POP industry
In July Shop! Australia & New Zealand hosted the ‘Best of POP and Retail Marketing 2010-20’ webinar, which introduced the biggest retail marketing success stories from the last 10 years. Hungarian POPAI members can also watch the video about the event online.

You can listen to it while driving or doing housework
Trade-themed podcasts are more and more popular, so Shop! has decided to satisfy this need by making their own podcasts, which are available on the Shop! website and on Spotify. The latest series is titled ‘Defining the Next Normal’ and the topic of the 5 August episode was specialist shops, while two weeks later convenience stores were discussed.
