Financial awareness and environmental protection are the most important for Hungarian consumers
According to their own assessment, almost half of the adult Hungarian population (47%) has a more conscious approach to the essential issues of everyday life than the majority of people, while 46% of them consider their attitude to be average, according to Generali’s latest representative research.

Hungarians are interested in financial awareness and environmental protection
The survey not only shows that, according to the signs, Hungarians confidently navigate the topics that concern them, but also paints a detailed picture of what is most on the minds of domestic adults these days. However, the rapid and often worrisome changes taking place in our world – inflation, war, climate and energy crisis – also represent a significant stress factor, so it is perhaps more important than ever to develop a conscious lifestyle and attitude.
Unsurprisingly, people are most worried about the energy crisis that dominates everyday life: according to the vast majority of them (71%), they will have to be much more aware of electricity and gas consumption in the near future, but they are also concerned about the soon-to-be water shortage. All of this can be evaluated positively, since it is in the common interest of all of us to manage the resources available to us more efficiently. At the same time, the issue of utilities is most pressing for those over 50 – they probably feel the most vulnerable to rising costs. This result is not particularly surprising either, since every year more and more Hungarians (59% in 2022 after last year’s result of 54%) believe that by the time they reach retirement age, they can no longer count on the state contribution necessary for living.
