Nébih published an information booklet for expectant mothers
The National Food Chain Safety Agency (Nébih) has issued a food safety booklet for expectant mothers on Mother’s Day.
In a statement sent to MTI on Friday, the authority highlighted that food safety is especially important during pregnancy, which is why Nébih experts say “Eat only wisely!” An information leaflet specifically for expectant mothers has been produced as part of the program.
It has been pointed out that the immune system works less efficiently during pregnancy, so expectant mothers may be more susceptible to food-borne illnesses that can even endanger the health of the unborn child.
In a recent 28-page fact sheet, Nébih has compiled food-related hazards for expectant mothers and outlines the steps to be taken to prevent food-borne illnesses, even those with extremely serious consequences.
