A significant number of employees support the home office, yet their opportunities for this are narrowing
In Hungary, six out of ten employees do not have the opportunity to work from home at all – some of them do not have the opportunity to do so due to their job, while others do not have the opportunity to do so due to their employer. Many people believe that the home office will become rarer, according to two-thirds of employees, they will not have the opportunity at all in the future, according to a representative survey by Profession.hu.
While working from home became widespread during the pandemic in those areas where it was feasible, this routine seems to be returning to normal in our country: many people return to work, some full-time, others only a few days a week. In its research, Profession.hu examined employees’ experiences, expectations and prospects for the future, as well as their preferences regarding the home office.
What work schedule do the employees want?
Most employees (46%) would favor the hybrid system as the most optimal arrangement, if they could choose and if it were feasible, in which they can work from the workplace on predetermined days or periods, and from home at other times. For every tenth person, it would be best for some of the team to enter, while others do not; 34% of them would unanimously make the walk-in mandatory for the full working time, for all colleagues. 15% of the respondents would allow everyone, and 17% would not allow anyone to work outside the workplace.
