This year’s cake of the country is the honey brittle cake of Milota
The Milota honey brittle cake won this year’s Cake of Hungary title. The currant foamed-apple-layered became Hungary’s sugar-free cake, while the winner of the St. Stephen's day bread contest became the spelled -yogurt bread – the organizers of the St. Stephen's day events announced on Wednesday.
The base material of this year’s Cake of Hungary was the nut. In the winning cake of Bacskó Szilárd and the Major confectionery two kind of creams honey and praline can be detected. Between the two creams, a thin, crispy sheet cake can be found. Each cake will contain 30 decagrams of nuts – Pataki László, Chairman of the Hungarian Confectioner Industry Board highlighted.
