METRO’s Board of Directors has appointed a wholesale transformation department manager
METRO Hungary has prepared a new strategy in the past period, the aim of which is to respond to the needs of professional customers and promote real wholesale turnover, among other things, with a reliably stable stock of goods, a rethought selection of goods adapted to the needs of the catering industry and retail target group, and modern mechanical engineering and energy efficiency developments.
The consistent implementation of the wholesale strategy will play a decisive role in the company’s operation in the coming years. The transformation affects all 13 members of METRO’s domestic store chain, but Budakalász has already been implemented as the first project. In order to generalize the wholesale strategy, METRO’s Board of Directors has appointed Iván Mészáros as the head of the wholesale transformation department.
Iván Mészáros joined METRO in 2011 as a target group department manager, then in 2013 as a Customer Relations department manager, and in 2015 he continued his career in a new field, as a Business and Pricing Controlling manager. From 2020, he performed responsible work in the position of Head of Pricing Department until his current appointment. In his new role, starting in August, he will be responsible for managing and supporting the successful implementation of our wholesale strategy, coordinating the work of the professional areas, monitoring the implementation and leading the main projects related to the strategy.
