Magazine: The problem solver
Dr. László Újszászi Bogár is a persuasion and influence technique expert, who also shares his knowledge with students at the universities ELTE and Corvinus. The basics of persuasion technique as a branch of science were laid down in Ancient Greece. It is a multidisciplinary science that involves social psychology, neurology and other areas as well. Persuasion techniques can be utilised in many fields of life, but Mr Újszászi Bogár specialises in its business world use.
He started his company in 2013 and has acquired 80 percent of customers via presentations at conferences. Most of the jobs his company does are sales-related, for instance reaching a certain target group. Sometimes a sales process gets stuck somewhere and his company is contacted to solve this problem. They do an analysis and deliver a solution if they find that persuasion technique can solve the problem. His starting point is always the subconscious of consumers.
The persuasion and influence expert stressed that this technique is never about manipulation or misleading others! He added that 90 percent of our decisions are made subconsciously and 100 percent of them are emotion-based, but in a later stage our decisions are rationalised; so it isn’t true that persuasion affects the decisions made consciously and manipulation influences the subconscious. //
