Investors invests in environmentally conscious startups

According to a 2020 survey by the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), we throw out an average of 65 kg of food per person in Hungary every year, more than half of which could be saved with more care – but how?

For example, with an innovative solution from the Munch team participating in the Start it @ K&H incubator program. With the app developed by the startup, shops, bakeries, restaurants and hotels can sell their unsold but good quality food at a discount at the end of the day, thus tackling food waste. And the initiative is very popular not only among users but also with investors: for the first time in the history of the Among Shark (Cápák Között) business show, all Sharks have joined the team.
