According to a recent study by Shop!, the shop window can be one of the best opportunities for a store and a brand to sell themselves instantly. In the offline space shop windows constitute the first opportunity for a customer to fall in love with a brand, and to get an insight into its ‘story’.
What is it that shop owners need to do? Create ‘Instagram-compatible’ moments and surfaces, apply the latest technological solutions, strengthen the wow-effect with special designs and colours, use sophisticated lighting and communicate local topics and products in the shop window. The returns of the investment can be monitored by means of the number of shoppers stopping and entering the store, and by comparing the number of in-store and online purchases with those in campaign periods. //
