In Coca-Cola’s long-awaited holiday campaign, good deeds are at the top of Santa’s Christmas wish list this year
With this year’s Christmas campaign, “The World Needs More Santas,” Coca-Cola celebrates the Santa in all of us. The iconic Santa Claus is a symbol of love, generosity and goodwill, whether it’s helping a neighbor, sharing that last Coca-Cola or helping an unknown person in need.
With the new Coca-Cola campaign, the holiday season officially begins, as there is no Christmas holiday without a Coca-Cola commercial. The Hungarian version of the film can now be viewed on Coca-Cola’s YouTube channel. The domestic campaign started on November 3, and the advertisement will be shown on TV from November 16.
Coca-Cola has been associated with Santa Claus for a long time, the Santa Claus character in red clothes and white beard, known around the world, first appeared in the brand’s Christmas advertisement in the 1920s. Subsequently, in 1931, Coca-Cola commissioned Michigan-born illustrator Haddon Sundblom to create images of Santa Claus for the brand’s holiday advertisements. The images that have become iconic have now merged with the Coca-Cola brand, and the original versions have toured art galleries around the world.
