A quarter of the companies increase the amount intended for fringe benefits
At the beginning of the year, fewer employers scheduled salary increases for this year than last year, and although there are still a majority (63%) who plan to increase wages, few are increasing the amount of non-wage benefits – it was revealed by Profession.hu with the involvement of more than 500 companies from his research.
At the beginning of this year, Profession.hu also assessed the wage improvement plans of domestic employers and the extent of wage settlements actually implemented. Compared to last year’s plans, more companies finally gave their employees a salary increase: by the end of the year, a total of eight out of ten. After that, the expectations of employees increased by January 2024: while 55% of them a year earlier, this year 74% expect some form of wage increase during the year. Based on the answers of the companies participating in the research, however, it appears that according to the current plans, the number of employers giving wage increases will decrease compared to last year, rather than increase.
