Tesco: not a bite can be wasted
As a co-organizer Tesco took part at the “Food waste in 2015: from theory to practice” conference in Prague. The issue of food waste is a worldwide social discussion, and one of the biggest problems the supermarkets are facing.
Tesco is an active member of the exchange of experience and teh sharing of the best practices in this regard. The representatives of the Czech Government and the Central European food banks also participated at the conference as well as the most renowned experts of food-waste.
Tesco announced its ambitious goal at the conference that a single bite of food fit for consumption cannot be lost in the Central European business. In order to help those in need, the food, the Tesco can not sell the company will donate to charity foundations and community groups.
