For the 10th time, the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) has decided on the winners of the Gundel Károly Award. The 18-member committee selected the two winners from a shortlist of 9 candidates.
In 2023 the Gundel Károly Award went to Katalin Pintér and Sándor Nyíri.
Katalin Pintér is one of the leading figures in Hungarian gastronomy, and it was under her leadership that Onyx Restaurant won its first Michelin star in 2011, and its second in 2018.
Over the past 25 years Sándor Nyíri’s name has been associated with Arany Kaviár Restaurant, where he is the co-owner. His focus is on the continuous development of restaurants and on high quality. //
